So BC108 transistors and some tricks added on yet another Fuzz Face (though, yeah, the Fuzz Face is technically a Mark I.V clone). There is also a BC108 (so non-germ) Range Master derivative in similar housing.

Should we applaud them for not going the AI route and letting an unqualified engineer make the aesthetic decisions?

It's been my experience, that 98% of engineers hate dealing with visual design and graphics. Earthquaker Jamie being one of the rare exceptions.

i don’t think that layout is the product of an engineer; rather, i think whoever’s doing the production for Vox in
whatever far-off land has a really crap designer on staff, or possibly sent it out to the Chinese version of Kinko’s.

A lo-fi, portable sampler in 2026? --Yes, please.

Stylophone's Voice has 12 built-in FX and is supposed to be about $50 at launch.

My kid is going to lose his mind about that.
Looks like it has some kind of sequencer, too.

I've updated the OP with additional playlists, now that more stuff is leaking. Eventually, I'll split up and reorganize the pedal list---modulation/dirt/delay+reverb or something. That way you won't have to be searching for a specific video in a list of 80+ videos.

https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLljj ... 75vHgoNcFp (software list has 5 early titles)

This is my favorite software release of 2026 so far---Novagrid, a four-lane FX sequencer from Mario Nieto (maker of the Harmony Bloom sequencer).

https://marionietoworld.com/novagrid/ €19 (use in your preferred DAW or as a standalone)

Listening to the OBNE Parting, it kind of sounds like a Ricorda crossed with the Crushturnal crossed with the Pefftronics Super Rand-O-Matic. It's definitely more than just a MOOD-esque glitch pedal.

Parting is a glitch pedal made in collaboration with Emily Hopkins. It combines chance-based delay or reverb, modulations, degradation effects, and randomized clock changes, to give pleasant surprises at each turn of a knob. Happy with many different signal sources, consider it your ready-made ambient texturizer.

For integration into many different rigs, Parting has:

Stereo in and out with analog dry through

Trails or true bypass switching

Presets

Expression control over every knob

MIDI control over everything in the pedal, including MIDI clock in and out for external syncing
Stylophone On-The-Fly Performance Sequencer (no price yet)

Cheaper than the other stuff around that class.

The AC Noises Ricorda is $399/ €449 (no MIDI). The MOOD MKII is $399. At $329, it's got stereo & MIDI for people who need presets for touring. I'm definitely intrigued. If they're $250ish used, that will also be way below the price of pedals like the Onward and Microcosm.

$329, god help me, isn't that awful if it's really, really good. getting the Generation Loss got me over the Horribly Expensive Pedals Hump. though not so far that i could buy one of those $500+ Dumble things that just came out. i could buy an entire Marshall Origin 50 used for that.
