Teisco (Heit badged) Mosrite copy with gold-foil pickups. i’ve never seen one of these before, and i’ve seen a LOT of Japanese guitars. dig the German carve! and the knockoff Gretsch Space Control bridge!
after spending time with the Wandré copy and the Hopf, both of which have 20-fret necks, i really appreciate a 22-fret neck. why, yes i would like to hit that high D on the top string, thank you very much.

I would never actually buy one of these, unless it was like $100 or something, but it's kind of cool. Obviously, anything this does can be done in a DAW with plugins.
if i couldn’t do ancient telephone sounds with the So High So Low filter pedal and its Moogerfooger preamp, that and the Generation Loss m2 would work. that’s one of the first things i did with the SHSL.

i was poking around looking at potential Supro donor bodies for the Bigsby pickup project and came across this Supro Martinique. they usually go for $1200-1500 on Reverb; this is $499. i'm not the kind of person who buys stuff i don't want just to flip it, but i don't judge. and if this does appeal to you, it's the deal of the fuckin' century.
Most dealers seem to have the EHX Satisfaction Fuzz (original version) and Lizard Queen on sale for under $40 each, about half and 60% off. The Satisfaction isn’t FZ-1 family but a Bosstone without clipping diodes but with solder pads so you can add your own. The Lizard Queen has the taint of being others’ circuit blocks appropriated by ambulatory butter sculpture Josh Scott, but $40 is $40.
