Just for the “whoa” factor, the Bob Moog Foundation is doing a “$20k” eurorack setup for their annual raffle. $20 could get someone a very ridiculous beginner modular system:

My latest purchase was the ALM ASQ-1 and it has completely changed my approach to modular. It made it all very fun and easy to play. Vidret also contributed in no small part by lending me his hertz donut mk2, what a great oscillator that is

Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
I have a sweet TTSH (2600 clone at 80% size of original) that I am going to have to list. It’s about my only 1/8” jack device, I bought a guitar/needed to pay myself back so I think this is part of tough cuts. I have banana gear, in 2 formats. I have done a lot to dial in those systems and couldn’t 100% replace them.
I think the TTSH is a top 2 semi-modular and would probably be the winner if I had to only have 1 semi-modular as it is full of so many sweet spots AND it can get out there with patching. Holler if you want to know more. I would sell for a good bit cheaper that the best reverb price and I would take a few payments from an ILF homie. I reckon I will post in the BST later today.
I have been digging some non-modular gear lately too. Erica Perkons is a DOPE drum machine that I have been rocking for the past year and I recently got a good price on a Dave Smith Tempest. I have had a Tempest before and I think it will be able to use its strengths with the Perkons as it’s partner. I am going to be using a streamlined(ish) setup for at least 5 months or so starting in mid-January. I may only have these guys as my synth/drum machine hardware or I may also involve my Buchla as it plays well with midi clock.

BUY FROM THAT MAN. HE IS THE BEST OF US.
grabbed some Bastl loots (Softpop 2, EFX Wiz 2, Thyme 1), actually been enjoying noobling with euro again. this is my case right now -

buuuuuuut Landscape Noon isn't really for me, and the Quad Envelopes are really for that. thinking about putting the Softpop in the case, but even if i don't, going to take those two out and put some other loots in.

been using this setup a bit, feels SET enough that i went through and homogenized the knobs and Befaco nuts and LED's on the sliders. COMFY.

Just dropped a Furthrrrr Generator and a Bruxa into the case. Loving this setup!
