While we’re talking: is anyone On that HM-2w yet? I don’t know how to make the hm-2 better, except that it runs on 9v for convenience, and that’s exactly it

I'm going to be getting a HM-2W soonish (next couple months) because I can.

the demos/comparisons basically show it's got lower noise floor and a little more definition in "Waza" mode, which I'm dead fine with.

I should add the OG ones run FINE on 9v - you're going to daisychain anyway, right?

THis *IS* ILF.

Just chain it to anything else, and you're golden with regular 9v!

That dunwich hm2 looks awesome! I had the tyrant? idk what it was called but it was the Nails version he did and it was the best sounding hm2 I've had the chance of trying. I'd imagine that one rules as well.

Boy this thread brings back some sweet memories…..

Back in 2016 you had to go to “a forum” for help but now you just need to yell “DOES IT CHAINSAW” into the void and 4000 videos will appear with Swedish guys visually analyzing the frequency spectrum….. followed by a visit from the LHW guy dressed like the ghost from A Christmas Story telling you he did it first and better….

Or which ones you’re no longer pissed at? Did they get better riffs? Or better HM-2s?

I'm mostly just indifferent cause I don't really care about the metal scene much here anymore. The ones I weren't pissed at kinda got worse but they were more crust than death to begin with

I remember this band was sick as hell. Need to dig out my tapes to remember what bands there were even though

That modded MT-2 sounds pretty sick! Bet the PEQ makes it super useful.

Fun fact: I've never touched a metal zone despite serving the sound when I made shitty noise tapes in guitar rig 4. microsynth>metal zone YES PLEASE!

Metal Zones are underrated for 1 simple reason: the eq. It is batshit powerful, and it makes it very hard to tune in a good tone. But that doesn't mean that good tones aren't in it.

seriously, the TL slays.
yasss, i've said it before but I was surprised at how well it does the stonery thing and all those almost cocked-wah sounds too.
And for me it's just the right amount of control for a dirt pedal, I've got more advanced things but for more playing and less tweaking this is good.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaand i'm back.

I just got the GL-100 from qersty in ILFSS, thank satan for qersty. My wish was in part inspired by this thread.

It blew away my expectations completely, and I'm not sure how to cope because it's so much better than a regular hm2 pedal.
When I thought about other sorts of distortions but with hm-2 EQ's, this is partially it because it's got all the other old boss drives/distortions in it - it works really well.

Earthbound should make the entire channel 1 of the gl-100 in a pedal, it's crazy.
Having that crazy amount of cut/boost with the other distortion modes is HNGH as well.

Thanks for the info peeps, this feels like some sort of ILF achievement for me. Thanks rfurtkamp, thanks qersty :joy: :joy:
I think the boss odr10 I the same as the first channel. It looks like it at least. Not a pedal but way more board friendly
