I’m in full on fanboy mode for CBA, Cooper and the Gen Loss.

Not seeing the spectral freeze/drone aux mode from the v2, so I’m sticking with mine.

Hope this is cool and awesome, but I’m not sure the world really wanted scientifically studied and accurate renderings of all the lofi tape devices. To my thinking, the interpretive liberties in the original Gen Loss are why it caught on. Kind like how the Pretty Years was inspired by the Thermionic Culture Vulture but electronically has nothing to do with it. Again, I hope it’s awesome.

hmmm - just based on the written info on the webpage

any version of this is gonna tempt me
but i'm priced out rn and it's going to be hard to justify in future
stereo i/o is probs going to bring them a new wave of customers
and a call to convert their older releases

personally, i think i can live with the mono on the older version
and worry about stereo later in the chain or in the box

model seems like a selector for overall eq profile
which could prove useful

interested to hear the range on the failure control

i get why they went with tape stop as a mode on the aux instead of freeze,
but i too would have preferred the inauthentic in that case
wouldn't be a deal breaker for me either way b/c i have other ways of accomplishing either

yeah, overall, tempting

Oh, tape stop completely makes sense for the tape-simulation-based lofi mangle machine that they are homing in on. It seems like the more fully fleshed out version of that elevator pitch.

I like my v2 as a kind of crumbly, non-traditional chorus with a freeze mode that, while not identical, lets me leave my EHX Freeze on the shelf. That isn’t an elevator pitch, just my idiosyncratic use case.

totally get that - totally get anybody that favors any particular version of GenLoss - they all have something particular that could be easy to get attached to sonically or functionally.
and, for me, there's nothing wrong with the new one, and tons of new new rightness
i'm just not in the demographic anymore, and the mere fact of stereo doesn't make me feel like reaching
i'm sure they'll have no problem selling all they can make!

Says it's stereo I/O right on the main page.

Aha, I see now.

I've bought and sold quite a few of their pedals, had a first version Generation Loss that I liked a lot but when I saw that I could get four figures for it, well, that was too tempting. But if they go stereo i/o on their lineup, I will be buying them and they will stay. A stereo Mood? yeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh. Stereo Dark World, Blooper, Thermae, Habit, Warped Vinyl. Ummm, yes, please, over here :hello:

:snax:

Also, for those that VSTi, this is coming out in a couple days (really like their Abyss):

He sent me the Doppel, along with the new Mudfly & FFAS...well, sort of :hobbes: More on that later!
But I want to try the Crooked Axis, Black Emperor, and Acid Master next I think. Oh, and the CB-2P looks interesting too! All of his work is top notch really  So clean and attentive.
