Sound blogs

Post by basti moon »

I started one yesterday.
It's really nice to have a place to put little projects and sounds you make!
It's on a place called tumblr so if you're on there let me know and I'll put you on follow. A tumblelog is a bit faster and more minimal than a normal blog, suitable for me at least. Erratically posted sounds and ideas.
Only catch is that I want a comment option so I can get some feedback, but that'll sort itself out when I learn some html hackz.

Very interesting atmospheres!

June 24 reminds me of a rainforest on a distant planet.

I love how they sound strange yet peaceful!

Your work is perfect for film! The songs leave the human mind no choice but to utilize the imagination!

Haha that's an awesome new avatar!
And you make me so happy, one of the things I try the most is to spark imagination

Tone, let me know when you set up! This thing is so easy and simple it's hard not to use it a lot so in no time we'll have some great blogs going. Lots of talented, funny and awesome people on this board who probably makes some small music projects on the side.

Check out some of the field recordings my friend makes too, he's very talented:
Plundr
Can't wait to see him utilize them in finished works!

Today I made my own rendition of captain beefhart's On Tomorrow. It's not my favourite song, but very powerful.
It's one improvised guitar track and live samples and carrier modulation improv on top of it. Sound more complicated than it is, hehe.

Dang, I wish I had heard the Beefhart song. I have a serious lack of Beefhart in my collection. I have Bongo Fury!

hehe you guys are too nice.
Seriously though, nothing to be intimidated about. Sound blog can just be this ten second bleep you got from a devi pedals that amused you.
And we have never been angry at people who post too much.

On tomorrow is on Safe as Milk and Strictly Personal. The Strictly Personal version has vocals, which the sample I used it taken from.
Run start a collection!
First get Safe as Milk, get Mirror Man Sessions if you can find, then Lick My Decals Off Baby and Trout Mask Replica. After that it's fair game. Shiny Beast maybe?

Can't believe I'm derailing my own thread

Todays update is a flying piece of underwater squeeky steampunk noise. Wasn't really conentrating, huhu

Have a few more pretty chaotic updates. Hope it doesn't represent myself, the way this blog is spiraling into madness and random old things when what I make is too harsh for anyone to want to hear.
Whistlebear is new, yesterdays piece is an older screechy thing with a beat to it. Knew my friend would listen to it so I wrote that I want someone to finish it and hinted his way. He is working on it now, but if any of you want to make your own version of it, do tell and I will upload it here for your serious cat play.

Your new track is awesome, just kind of wished it played in both speakers, hehe.
It's easily fixable. And maybe even master it a little, it could sound awesomerer
