So I feel like it is kinda stupid and missing out on great stuff running the context 2 without the 4 button remote or like a DMC thing. Dont really know what the benefit with going MIDI over just a switch, kinda have been the same with my eventides and never had had the fsw3 for either. Sending PC and tap tempo to everything would be cool but would also mean infinitely more headaches setting up every preset for songs. I see big potential for sending CC stuff but more board friendly boxes and less friendly only seem to do expression pedals and on-off switches. Not really that's talked about since most people seem content doing 127 presets and one knob for whatever.
Anybody here who does midi still? God damn I hate presets
MIDI vs regular external switch (mostly context 2)

with Red Panda stuff in particular a midi controller would let you access expression pedal input at the same time as external preset switching, i guess?
I like the remote cos it feels like a natural extension of the pedal's control scheme, but in this case the benefits would just be 3 extra presets or momentary damping / killswitch functions.
