USTA is great...pretty straight forward with options and composition focus.

The Erica seems to have the best of all worlds. But it definitely seems geared for less immediate applications vs a Rene. You might also want to look into the Vector Sequencer from five12, with all its crazy modifiers and stuff

Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
i'm actually thinking about grabbing a Polyend Preset.
i forgot the Voltage Block only does 0-5. it's... not the best match with the Sample Drum.
urrrrrr never mind. too many things to remember with the Preset.
i want the VB, but with more range.
or need to see if there's a way to get the Sample Drum to work better with VB as is.

Find someone that can build a Westlicht PerFormer sequencer for you.. super cool sequencer as wellJTurbide wrote:Ughh...searching for a sequencer to buy in a few weeks/months when I have some more money. The erica black sequencer looks so good![]()
Any other eurorack sequencers out there that are great? Been looking a bit at hermod but it does not appear to be as hands-on or easy to dial-in a sequence as the black sequencer. The erica seems really great with the 4 tracks, up to 64 step sequences, multiple parts for each tracks, quantizer, lfo and enveloppes, midi, etc. Seems like it can be a great system brain capable of putting up pretty much complete songs together. Now if only it could be silver/grey instead of black

Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
Strega shipped fast! I was just about to check tracking to see if there was an ETA when it showed up at my door! Rearranged things so now I have this:

Not entirely sure where the HEK is going to go. Oh well, I'll figure that out when it gets here. I might have to order some kind of 2-tier Make Noise rack thing. Behndy, what's the 3-tier one you have and do you know if they make a 2-tier version?
Made some quick noises to test out the Strega and No Ctrl:
Very impressed so far!

Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
Loving Strega so far. Usual complaints - Make Noise aesthetic is attractive but still a pain in the ass, and I think it's ludicrous that a device that costs this much doesn't come with a proper power switch.
Sounds great on its own, pairs well with everything I've thrown at it - mainly maths and wogglebug for extra modulation. It's almost a one trick pony and can't see it being your sole synth if you're a synth person, but it's a great noise synth. For anyone that's wanted something more dynamic than the Skychord or Ricci type boxes, but doesn't want to go all in on euro, here's your huckleberry.
For building tracks around, it needs something to act as counterpoint - glitchy drums, pretty pads, whatever.
But yeah, this will probably keep me interested for longer than the 3-6 month window where I normally get bored and upsell for something else.

this is his two tier - https://www.etsy.com/listing/821988236/ ... e_active_8
i ordered another 3 tier because he now has the dark wood in stock, so if someone wants my blonde wood 3 tier when the other comes in i'm fine with like.... $30? enough to cover the shippings?
with the 3, the top tier is kinda 90 degrees. i put some velcro on the back of my No Coast and on the stand, solid as BUTTS.

Nice! Thanks! Hmm, I've been googling for solutions and all I can find are these or the 3Dwaves ones, both of which are a lot more expensive than I was expectingbehndy wrote:beauuuuuutifullll. Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
yeah. shizz isn't cheap.
the other option, that i'm curious about when he puts out the files, is Cortani (sp?) has a neat plastic frame for 2 MN No Boxes, said there's a design for 3, and he was going to put the 3d print file out there. so if you know someone that does printing that's an option?

Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
Oof, the black sequencer and now the clank chaos are making me want a little all black system (the pre-ordered castor and pollux and my Ochd would go in there too) to go with another all white/grey system...
Ah... Aesthetics planning, such fun

I really need to just buy a 3D printer. I've been planning on getting one for ages and never pulled the trigger, but this would be the perfect thing to design a printbehndy wrote:yeah. shizz isn't cheap.

Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
If I had the means, I mean, I guess I could save up? I'd have custom rainbow panels designed and milled for each module I own. I would find a different artist to design each rainbow and have the sickest motherfucking case.
