coldbrightsunlight wrote: last night and the guy used a prs. Crazy finish that I can't seem to find any reference to today, it looked solid black but with bright green or yellow streaks that looked like they followed the grain of the top. Pretty neat. Sounded alright

I think that's called Ceruse finish.. F Basses was the first company I remember seeing doing this.

Yeah it was like that last one!! Only fewer lines, maybe just a piece of wood with a larger grain or weird lighting. I've seen a few others like this, I think it's a pretty cool finish

EDIT: with that extra info on the name I was able to Google easily, thanks BS!! Was for sure one of these https://www.prsguitarseurope.com/2019/0 ... swamp-ash/

Not the right TON green but if you sat through any TON interviews the green was never the right green according to Steele...

Ok that one DOOMS! for sure

btw i noticed how PRS has their neck pocket below the neck pickup rout like the old washburn/daion. im a fan of that! Had a shitty daion bass for a while and the heel was excellent cause of that. it had a plethora of issues though

Thanks for the feedback. Highly appreciated. Pretty sums my feelings up: Not many play that, how do they even sound, "used to play one", sounds better with other guitars etc.
I think it is not worth dropping 2k+ FOR ME. So I'm done with this...

There’s usually one decent doom riff on every Today is the Day album.

I actually dig the shape and even the stupid bird inlays. I can’t fuck with all that flame though.

Messed around with one unplugged and it was nice in the hand. They’re supposed to be a less spongy Les Paul, eh.

Chankgeez wrote:Mary Timony used to play a PRS really early on in Helium and she always sounded great. Definitely indie.

Couldn't find any videos of her with one in Helium, but here's a show w/ her when she was in Autoclave:

Although, I do prefer when she plays other guitars. :idk:

She was definitely playing a PRS when I saw them in (checks watch...) 1995.
