This is why my pedals are on stands - I'm too old and creaky to grovel around on the floor

Flangioplasty built and paid for - it's all over but the shipping and the whale song

Damn, I skimmed over the Aurora initially since it doesn't have a manual knob, but it pairs so damn well with a RAT here I think I might be sold..

Re: State of the Flanger: 2022 (and beyond!!!)
Realized i never made one my usual extended review for the F.13, so here it is:
Of the four modes available, i use various iterations of AUTO most of the time, which is the standard flange mode, and sounds very good and a lot less digital than i expected. The range of it is very wide, at low rates it gets super slow for psych flange toanz, metallic swooshes are easy to dial in, and turning up the manual it delivers some pretty chorus sounds. Depending on the setting there can be a hint of low-feq loss, but the ability to mix wet and dry signals makes it no problem, and the level control helps eventual volume drops.
Don't know if the slight low-freq loss is common in FV-1 flangers, probably it is as i experienced the same thing with the one on the Bitquest.
STEP mode is fun to add rhythmical movement, although I haven't used it very much. I'm sure it shines when using the multijack/MIDI in with an external tap tempo /sync for strictly-on-the-beat phrases or when paired with a samplers and drum machines.

I had no particular interest in DYNA mode but surprisingly I found myself using it a lot. It just takes some attention to adjust the sensibility according to the input signal, but then it gets from auto-wah feel (except it's not a wah but auto-flanger) to extreme dynamic sweeps and a lot more. My favorite use is setting it as a dynamic enhancer, with low sensitivity, minimal regen and speed, and mixed in the background of the dry signal: it's AMAZING for staccato notes / fast picking single string riffs and phrases.
ECHO mode is a nice delay+flanger combo, but honestly i have used it just a couple times.
A few notes about the pedal function-wise:
The fact that the manual control is a secondary function on the rate knob makes it a bit difficult to instantly see where you're control-wise, i would have preferred to have it right there instead of the Mix control, and having the mix as alternate control.
I never bonded with how presets are managed on Alexander pedals, because there's no immediate visual indication that shows if you're in wysiwyg mode or if you're using a preset - and, if so, which one of the four ones available - unless you hold down the footswitch, which however changes the preset to the next one; plus you have to manually move the knobs to go back to wysiwyg mode, so it's a bit pointless
(if I got this wrong and there's a a simpler way please school me - anyway imo the best preset management options are the ones on the Atmosphere - with a screen indicator - or the Particle 2 - with dedicated mini buttons).
In the end It does a lot more than I need, and I think a more standard 4-knob flanger (maybe with a 5th knob for mix) would suit me better, specially when setting it on the fly, but sound-wise I am really happy with it, and the couple tricks available in dyna mode makes it worth keeping.
Uh, tiny note: If daisy chained, only when the pedal is turned on, there's a bit of bleed, but when properly powered with a dedicated supply/power brick it's a lot quieter.

Yep, seems to do sine, triangle & random.
I'm more interested in the frozen flange/filter matrix feature though.

Uhh did he just demo the random waveform for like 5 seconds then switch it back before we could even hear how it sounded?
The feature set and form factor is nice, but it sounds kind of dull to me
