I just meant it isn't a sound I care about and doesn't add anything new to the fuzz world. Not every pedal NEEDS to add something new to the fuzz world and so I'm not saying it's not probably cool for $99

EHX makes me sad.

Like for real, some of the stuff is really cool but I agree that a huge swath of this stuff is bland and built like crap.

All of the Torn Speaker / Torn Peaker makes me miss my shoe gazer.

Also, their pricing is weird, why is this the same as the Eddy? But more expensive than a large portion of their other drives.

The Torns Peaker is a two knob fuzz. Four knobs on the Ripped Speaker suggests more flexibility there. But I don't know.

I think EHX graphics are mostly good. Ripped Speaker would go together with a Bell Epoch on a grey themed board. It looks fine, the graphic design and name are unpretentious.

If I see a used one for a great price, I'll buy it.

Oh but their build quality is FANTASTIC.

Yeah, I think EHX is one of the coolest music gear companies of all time since they are consistently innovating and making new products and making them quite affordable. Just wish the stuff presented better visually, a lot of the old gear looked amazing, the big box MM, the original POG, Soviet Muff, etc.

TP is also one resistor change away from the Aenima. Which is why when we made it it was one pedal, with a knob for that resistance change, and some toggle in there. It would be easy as pie to expand that circuit into a four knobber. There's no gain control on the 2 knobber for hecks sake.

yep. i recently got an EHX THE MOLE (a surprisingly cool bass boost, by the way) and the first thing i did was cover it in stickers. so ugly!
