kinda... annoyed? that it didna ship with a psu. sure, when i had an actual pedalboard, power was ret to go. but it's not cheap, a little perturbed i need to dig through my box of psus and hope i have a pedal one still.
but. will plug up tomorrow! i have the exites. really been missing playing bass, hope this sounds good straight into the mixer. mic'ing up a cab has always stopped me from dribbling around.

Strange that Darkglass makes you pay 450 for a multi band distortion with no psu.
If you need a cab sim there are so many good options out there. I am currently using the element and really like it a lot. But two tones makes a rad cab sim as well.
I wish they had this shit like 15 years ago

lol despite the visual cue i didn't suss that the thing was supposed to be multiband? i've been sorta waiting to see what the new Source Audio multiband jawn'll be like when it gets outta betaland
"In a moment of unparalleled genius, Noel Parachute headed off this potential disaster by unplugging the microphone."
the no psu irks me the more i think about it. i'm pretty sure i have one or two pedal psus in my box, but still. lol. not going to dig out and setup a Cioks for one pedal.
it issss a multiband with different models of dirt and cab sims, compression. and a main, headphones and DI out. needs more save spots, 3 is a... weird choice. but i've always loved Darkglass toanz so yeah, mebbe a bit overpriced, but pretty sure it's exactly what i'm looking for. woot?
will dive later.
lol. the Oto dirty/compressor was like.... 6 hundy? 6.5 hundy? and had less.

dunno! and i get it for most pedals, especially obscure ones. when i had a pedalboard, i appreciated NO psu. was just a waste.
buuuuut expensive multi unit ones like Strymon and such always came with psus i think.
and the design of the ADAM is an all-in-oner solution so... i dunno. i would have liked to be able to open the box then go.
lol. unless i'm being an idiot and it can power off the USB C port.
edit - nurp. doesna. the USB port is for using it as an audio interface. another neat feature, that i won't use, but that is soooo Standalone Designed that THANKS for no way to power it.

Now that I think about, my element didnt come with its own power supply but the power to the thing is only 9vt. I had ordered a one spot to go along with it because I knew I would be buying other pedals ( lol at waiting ....)
Just for the price tag of 450.00 I think you could throw something in there. I like darkglass products but hate the price tags on a lot of the stuff. Same goes with Strymon and Chase Bliss too
I dont want to like the ADAM but if it replaced both my compressor and element I am going to have to listen. Nothing will kick the MBD2 off my board because its just so damn good.

yah. still seems a bit bleghed that no pus. but. whatever. found one.
ADAM - iiiiiiiiii LIKE it. the presets it shipped with are... awful. i mean. to me? i guess not AWFUL but... every one was fuzz fuzz fuzz FuZZZZ. which. i am INTO. but i was planning on a clean tone, clanky lightly distorted (how i liked with their dirt on), then a fuzzed out mess butts. all three that ship are that.
spent a while dialing in 3 sounds i like. and YES. sounds awesome over headphones. will play with against a drum beat and synth bits later.
but so far, it feels like playing through an amp, but with line in and a headphone option. which is exaccccctly what i wanted.
lol. and price... fuck me. i mean. i'm willing to pay four hundy to replace my 3 hundy filter module that i love because the new filter is STEREO. so 450 for a preamp that sounds good recorded (i assume, sounded great over headphones, will record in a bit), eq, compression, dirt, speaker sims.... i am FINE with that.
euro modules and complete synths have wrecked my concept of value in music gear probably.
