a while back I think the word was "real time is problematic due to OS architecture"
or something...

Is that still so?

yet another iPhone is dying on me, and since you can't get a new one with a regular headphoneplug anymore
I might try repairing the phone I got,
I might get a fair, modular Shift phone...

SO:

Can I get a decent tuner, a metronome, maybe even some worthwhile musicmakers for the mobile pinch?

Cause all the other utilities & games are probably same/same, I guess

yeah, i think the latency issue is in the past, but there just isn't as much development for the platform. the whole world turned to Apple, and it seems there's no real going back....

that said, tuner and metronome, no problem.
decent musicmakers? there are some cool synths and beatmakers, but i don't see the DAW-alikes and such....
Caustic is definitely cool, tho

I have stuff I use to entertain me if all i have is my phone, but i caved and snagged an ipad a few years back....

if there are more suggestions for specific apps that work well on an android phone:
keep em coming :!!!:

based on experience, def. check out the Kaossilator app, and also Sunvox.

By reputation, FL Studio looks pretty full-featured - not sure if users are experiencing frustrations with it, tho....

Following this thread. I have been using android since 3 years and still have a hard time when looking for interesting apps for music. Beside the usual metronome/tuner thing i just have a simple fm synthesizer (just for noise, hardly usable for anything else). a coule loopers for recording ideas on the way, and grainstorm, which goes deep in granular territory.

Caustic for fucking around.

Boss has a Tuner that works good too.

Metronome? Maybe just a youtube clip lol, there must be dozens of apps for those, and free too.

I have a roland zen drum machine (I think its called) basically the free roland drum machine. I use it to make simple drum beats to play guitar over to kinda sketch out ideas. I also have the korg kaossilator which is kinda fun to fuck around with and It was free at the the beginning of the pandemic, not so sure now. Also a free tuner that I picked up in the app store because I'm to lazy to get my tuner out of my jam bag when I'm playing at home.

oh, god...
so I've had this phone for about two weeks now

It still feels like everything is looking ugly and doesn't work the way it should

I mean I'm pretty sure I set everything correctly, but the red bubbles to show how many messages are in an app are not showing up?

BigAdvantage of this:
I hardly have the phone in my hands, only when I really wanna use it
