Hexe Sound Cartridge is 399 Euro. Almost gave me a heart attack when I read it.
But still... I... I might get it.

Eventide is trying to social media hue but not leak too much about a new pedal before announcing it tomorrow. But people have enhanced the image enough to give it away. By the control and switch labeling it’s a stand-alone Blackhole reverb algorithm pedal in a case the size of a Rose. Maybe used Space pedals come down in price a bit soon?

I don't love that form factor but that would be an interesting little box. Definitely a powerful algorithm to have, and ideally won't be super expensive.Gone Fission wrote:Eventide is trying to social media hue but not leak too much about a new pedal before announcing it tomorrow. Between this and whatever Strymon is cooking up, plus that CXM 1978, I am very excited to add another reverb to my board.

More excited about the PF+ than anything else. That box looks and sounds incredible.

I’m a little disappointed that Eventide is mainly porting legacy DSP algorithms to new formats rather than doing new stuff. The synth plug in free and paid form that they just put out is much more interesting on the new and exciting front, though it seems like outsiders may have done most of that work.Muse FTW wrote:I don't love that form factor but that would be an interesting little box. I had been hoping the new pedal might be pitch shifting done in a similar fashion to the old DDL-based H910 with the control done by modern miniaturized stuff. That would seem like a clever continuation of the Rose project.

Pitchfork+ looks nifty if you're into pitch shifting. 2 independent voice and all those presets!

I've been waiting to know more about Pitchfork+ since it was leaked at Namm, interested to see more demos exploring X-MOD mode, it looks fun!

Does anything else they have use a screen like that? Could be interesting if it's a new format for them.Dandolin wrote:while everybody was wondering which tease was blarghler, Strymtide or Evon, the EHX Borg dropped this in yer soup:

I don't want to say, that Eventide is turning into Roland, but they seem to be really coasting on 30-40 year old past successes.Gone Fission wrote:I’m a little disappointed that Eventide is mainly porting legacy DSP algorithms to new formats rather than doing new stuff. The price of their plugins kind of annoys me, too. At $40 each, you'd end up spending $400 to get one of the Factor series pedals and it'd be spread across 10 separate iterations. That's a bit of a joke, considering you can grab the hardware new for $400-425 (holiday sales). Used, a PF or Space can be had for $300ish (or less) in mint condition. ---If the plan is to slowly roll out those algos in plugin format, I wish they'd prioritize a dual-delay Timefactor. I can already get great reverbs and pitch-shifters from other sources. I'd like some pristine, rhythmic digital delays.
I did enjoy the Undulator ($19?), and I was never going to get a Modfactor. That filled a niche. The other thing I really wanted was one of their vintage harmonizer rack plugins, but they don't sell the best one as a standalone. You have to get a student discount or wait for Black Friday to get one of those X bundles. ($500 down from $1800)
