Yep. Who fucking cares. Don't buy it, or whatever.
'Don't buy it' is the reality for a lot of these pedals because of the secondary market my dude. That's the problem.

I think we're all on the same page, which is that this:
The only thing that bothers me is people purposefully hyping stuff to sell it high.
sucks :)

We're all good breaux here so I think it's a good conversation to have as long as it doesn't get petty. Not that getting petty isn't fun, because it is, but the world is real shitty right now so why bother?
good deals are here.

Yeah, are we saying it's not possible to have this conversation without "taking sides", or to still be friends with people who occasionally do things we don't agree with?

Because that's super reductive and boring. Plus I've not actually seen any "anti shikawkee posts". Just people who perhaps disagree a little bit with a single thing he's done in his life. :whateva:

Sorry back to regularly scheduled black/white discussion, flippers are terrible and anyone who disagrees with me should be shot beep boop

We need a combo breaker.

Here’s a magical 300watt guitar practice amp with an 8” speaker (the 15 watt RMS rating in the description tells me that 300 watts might be a bit off. )

I guess that would be me who made the anti post. :hello:

I think the practice of flipping pretty much anything (concert tickets, cabbage patch kids, pogs, guitar pedals, hand sanitizer, toilet paper, etc) for profit is shitty, but we all do shitty things sometimes. Sometimes for reasons, sometimes for not. I just say own it. I've sold a pedal for double what I paid once because someone came and offered me double what I paid...it was actually an offer I could not refuse, so I did not refuse it. Was it shitty? Sure. Were both parties happy? Sure. Was it anyone's business? I didn't care. Will I justify that I did it? Sure. Is it shitty to justify it (hey, he offered me, and I wasn't gonna sell it, but I couldn't refuse that offer so...). Am I a hypocrite? Sure. Is it okay to find the Cosby show funny still? Sure. Can you still enjoy an R Kelly song? Well....that one's on you. Does my point of view make sense or even matter to anyone? It shouldn't. You do you...if you feel good about the things you do, then who cares. Most of the time I feel good about the things I do, sometimes I feel remorse...I try to learn from those times, but I don't always. :idk:

A) I'm not flipping for profit. I just want back what I paid (which was too much, I admit).

B) I own it. I'm a horrible person. But I try to do good every day.

Maybe we can all just move along. I hate flipping so I don't buy or sell pedals for flip prices. Same with concert tickets and pretty much anything else. And fair enough evan's post was a bit anti I guess. But I found the supportive comments a little more hostile in tone. haha :animal:

I think I judge people who pay $800 for a $250 pedal about as harshly as I judge people who sell them for that. :p

EDIT: I apologise for posting more on the topic while also telling people we should stop talking about. But I too am a hypocrite and I can't help it.

At least you own it <g>.

I paid $500. for a $329. pedal and I just want my money back. Unrealistic? Perhaps but two sold for $450. last week.

Oh and fuck off.

Hey if you bought it for whatever and try to get your money back that isn't really an unreasonable thing as an individual. Don't hate the player hate the game.

Any of my comments on this topic are not entirely serious and this got way out of hand. Sorry if I wasn't clear and came across hostile, no hard feelings here

Me when I just wanted to make a casual joke since I saw Ed's video about the Bakfram where he mentioned whoring and now it's a three page discussion with lines drawn in the sand and sides taken and people misreading one another even though they'd be the bestest of friends in a face-to-face discussion

Imagine having a pre-CBS Jazzmaster and selling it for 3 bucks on Reverb. Or does it only apply to boutique pedals? :?:
