Lolwut.
It might not be a gross abuse of power, but it's definitely an abuse of power to pull someone over and threaten to ticket them because they made a face at you when you honked at them for no reason.

But, hey, at least the cop didn't pull him out of his car, beat him, and throw him in jail, so he should've just gotten over it, right? :whateva:

Yeah I don't know the specifics of the situation beyond what's recounted here. I just know that it's not a good idea to attract a cop's attention when you have no reason to, and most cops already know that "people hate them" as you say. Some with good reason, but that doesn't mean that everybody has to automatically hate cops.

I think a lot of "cultural differences" between North America and the rest of the West are massively overstated or otherwise used as a convenient crutch for discussion, but in all my conversations with folks I'd say that the public's relationship with the police on the two continents is, actually, significantly different.

WWII and the Holocaust taught Western Europe to have an extreme distaste for the state or any of its arms exercising lethal force. The U.S. did not absorb this lesson.

This is a WAY fucked up comment. The idea that we should be forced to walk around thinking that we shouldn't make faces at cops because we all know they could do something awful is not acceptable to me. Maybe we should change the way we view cops and their role in society.

In the middle of getting burned on a Reverb sale for the first time. Customer service sides with the buyer even though I did nothing wrong. It's not that big of a deal, but life is stressful enough without this garbage.

It seems like sellers are never protected.

I’ve had better luck selling on Reverb than buying here. Never again on ppg.

I will get everything back, but the reason for the return is BS and my listing conditions should be protecting me from stupid returns. Apparently they don't.

I've bought and sold more than 100 times on Reverb. They're probably still the best place around, but this is leaving me bitter.

I had a guy on Reverb complain that on the INSIDE of the pedal enclosure, there was a magic marker mark around the screw hole. It was obviously a guide mark made by whoever drilled it. :whateva:

I had to accept the return because the battery wire was disconnected from the board also. I never opened it up previously, so it had to be a factory defect, unless he did it himself, which I wouldn't doubt.

Just curious, you mind sharing what specific issue the buyer had? Did they have a specific problem or did they make some shit up just so they could get a return? I've always wondered about this, but as of now I'm still in the boat you were previously in: zero problems with sales or purchases. I'm sure it'll happen to me someday, but so far I've been lucky.

Also never have had a problem with PPG, but I've oddly never bought or sold anything on here, just Muffs and Facebook. Did someone just not send you what you paid for? And were they a stranger or something? Seems odd that someone would do that on here unless they were some random lurker. :idk:

Yeah, when buying here, it's preferable to buy and sell from regulars because there are significant consequences on the forum for screwing someone over.
