Did you use Ge or Si transistors ? or it's op-amp based ?
Is it inspired from anything "famous" ?
It's silicon.
It wasn't really inspired by anything. I designed it because I wanted a different style of fuzz from my Bad Mother Fuzzer (speaking of which, there's now a high quality demo of on Youtube.

), so I worked on the Crush Fuzz. They make a great pair now, and cover a ton of ground fuzz-wise.
They also sound great together.

DO THIS DEMO. NOW.

I'll do some sort of demo of them in a few days. I need to pick up a new line in adapter so that it's not just the left speaker playing audio like in the new demos.

At least they sound better than just mic'ing with a cheap mic. Even if it is only one side.

It sounds awesome though. It takes the thick wooliness of the BMF and the more responsive, clearer fuzz of the Crush Fuzz and mixes them up just right. Kind of like an orange crush float. You get the thick, creamy vanilla ice cream, but keep the taste of the Orange Crush, giving just enough bite to take it from being something good, to being something epic.
