It really is.

Joni Mitchell has a great line in that movie describing her struggle to find a bass player who would fit her new jazzier direction.

"So I asked the bass player to play an A which he refused saying It's not the root of that chord so I'm not playing it. I said well...you know, it's gonna be when you play it."

You're the bass player you're basically controlling the damn key of the song.

Hyper specific to YouTube.
I spent HOURS of my life this Summer binging Shane Dawson's documentaries (Conspiracy Theories, Jefree Star, Tanacon, Jake Paul, and Eugenia Cooney).
I remember when Shane first started posting on YouTube. The concept of a "youtuber" wasn't ever a thing yet. I was in film school and super pretentious and just dismissed it all as rubbish.... little did I know over a decade later... how much culture would evolve and how much I would enjoy consuming "new-media".
