I would not recommend anyone to buy the above Egmond bass just because it is from the 60s. Being Dutch; I can inform all of you that Egmond isn't generally regarded as a quality brand here in The Netherlands. If you look at the bridge, it would seem to me that setting proper intonation would be hell, if not impossible, and the tuners also look like they are poor quality. I can't really comment on anything else about this specific bass from just looking at the pictures, but the Egmond guitars I have held (note: never bought one) all felt like they were of below average quality and most have these weird bridges making intonating a significant challenge. There are better Asian-made instruments to be had from current brands like Ibanez (firsthand experience) or Squier (secondhand experience) for less money, even new.

Seconded. Univox instruments are iffy enough, but that other thing is sub-Univox which is not good.

It was a bargain at $100. The same guy has a Melx and a Mini Wolf Computer. I'm sure he was a member here and probably at Harmony Central about ten years ago.
