Thanks--all good points. My answers are yes, yes, and mostly.... I am definitely backing away from the complexity/price vortex on the pc thing. And like the turn-it-on-and-go factor of the console. Getting seduced momentarily by Steam game prices and the slightly more open platform doesn't out-weigh those, nor does my lingering pissiness over missing out on the 200 dolla PS4s pre-Black Friday, lol.

Not sure on the gameplay, but I'm fairly certain the story will be esoteric and epic as hell.

God, Kojima is pretentious.

I adore MGS and ZoE more than anything else in this world, but I honestly think he missed the point of why MGS1 was great - which is essentially a Sci-Fi Radio drama merged with Pacman. I'll even say that MGSV might be my favourite game of this Gen, but I wager that if it weren't for David Hayter giving a total shit about his work Kojima would be at the Kamiya/Swery/Suda level of cult classic Developers.

I'm still very much looking forward to Death Stranding, I will even take the day off work. I just can't be bothered diving into the internet speculation rabbit hole regardless if it's great or bad, i'm going in cold and taking it for what it is

If the gameplay is a remotely good time and story makes you go "what the actual fuck" at least three times, i dunno what more you can want or expect from it

I had pretty much lost all interest in Death Stranding, especially after that last video where Norman Reedus just walked around carrying things the whole time, but that trailer actually piqued my interest again. I'll definitely grab a copy

I am so excited! Also, stoked that Keanu is in it. I'm enjoying that "real" actors are starting to see video games as a real craft/artform

Not sure how I'm going to get anything productive done in the fall/winter; Cyberpunk, Doom Eternal, Death Stranding, Last of Us 2 (maybe?), Outer Worlds. So many good games coming
