The best gear possibility I've seen is the current iPad for $80 off. I've thought about getting a 2nd one, so I could do a poor man's Moog One. (128 GB is only $50 more)

You can occasionally get a solid deal on pedals via Amazon's warehouse, though----sometimes stuff is marked blemished or S&D, when it shouldn't be. I got a Maxon analog delay for about $180 off retail and it looked brand new. The catch is tax, which can often negate your savings. Many vendors don't do 15% off sales on Amazon (even during Black Friday), because Amazon's selling fees are extremely high and there's no room for markdowns.
