There weren't many made originally, but they were quite affordable. This old listing (2009) shows $240 + shipping.

I think the last batch was in 2016 for $350.

He's got a couple cool ones. Nothing I'd buy though. The world of sofubi toys is another rabbit hole all together.

They are so expensive...
I think those 'collectable toys' that lots of people are into these days will be like grandmas porcelain figurine collection in 50 years.

I want a Rat Fink one.

It really just depends. Stuff like Pop figures will fall off for sure. Like anything people collect, you never know what will happen. I know guys that have been collecting old kaiju/Ultraman/Godzilla type toys for decades. Some of them are worth quite a bit...in ok shape  . There's also newer western designers like Mutant Vinyl Hardcore, where if you're lucky enough to score one, it will basically appreciate in value instantly, 4-5x what you paid direct. This of course leads to a big flipper issue though. Friends of mine have dropped $700 on what is essentially a rare, nicely painted, good quality chew toy :idk:

Here's a backpack tape delay for about $330. FYI: after T-Rex's restructuring, the tapes are being made available again. They were out of stock everywhere for a couple months.

Time and money. Come up with character, sculpt it in clay. Have a mold made of the clay to turn it into a wax version. Find a place willing to work with you (not very easy if wanting to do Japanese vinyl), and pay them thousands of dollars to make metal molds from the wax master. Then they pour in liquid vinyl, cure in hot baths, and pull each part individually. You cut off the excess flash and put them together. Then paint if you want to. This is oversimplifying it but yea. Expect to pay $2000-10,000. Oh and wait several months to a couple years before you even get one in hand.

(this is for the smaller run stuff like what calidreamin is selling, not dino toys from walmart)

This person has battery covers for Digitech PDS units. Custom colors available.

(He should make DOD replacement battery covers too...)

Elektron Drive for <$100 on Thomman Deutsch.

Is it any good? I love my Octatrack but not an Elektron fanboy.
