Thanks dudes! I'm glad I pulled that trigger too, I love having a 7 string... it makes the palm muting and power chording a lot more meaningful.

I really want to get one of those agile baritone LP's when they come back in stock in the fall

Does anyone know if they make any sorta 9 string?

No, but they do make an 8-string guitar, which is plain silly.

I kinda agree...but an agile 9 string (12 string with only the top 3 doubled) would be

I owned a lefty (because I'm a southpaw) Agile Les Paul double cutaway copy. It was decently made and sounded OK. My main gripe was that the electronics it came with were shitty, and it was hard for people I knew to work on for some reason. Also, even in the bridge position, the pickups always sounded like the neck pickup was on. I ended up trading it in and getting an Epiphone LP copy which I'm MUCH happier with.

On a sem-related note, I have this Aslin Dane guitar that I've had for 5 years that sounds really awesome...super heavy and bassy, but can still bring mids and highs when asked to. New, those were like $500 but I got it for $160. I think the company is gone now, but definitely check those guitars out if you can find them. If you want samples of how they sound, you can check out my band's recordings:

(Sorry for the plug...it's really just for reference!)
