Glad Deadwood may have a proper conclusion. IMDB has info on the movie, which appears to be pending release this year.

Yep - they sent out a notice a few weeks ago that said filming had begun, and will wrap in April.

watched it in one sitting
Russian Doll was a fun "blast through it on Sunday morning" show. Really well paced and some excellent performancea. As good as it was (and every time I reflect on it I like it more) I hope they leave it as a single season deal.

There is a movie being made to wrap the story up, I believe. Which could be cool but considering Deadwood was one of the greatest TV dramas of all time, it's going to have to be an excellent movie.
Controversial opinion: the ending of Deadwood is amazing and the movie is going to fuck it up.
good deals are here.

Watching The Magicians on Netflix, this might be the most distractingly attractive cast ever assembled. Even the guy who looks like James van der Beek is a more attractive Dawson.

Well fuck. They cancelled the Punisher. Back to more teenager hero shows where they are all super misunderstood and have tough lives. Yawn

You'll get more Punisher (and Daredevil/etc.) when the Disney service launches, for just $14.95 more a month.

I’d love to say there’s no way I’ll be paying $15/month for Disney... but I have a toddler and one on the way, so I’m sure we will end up with it.

not for at least two years though!

all the Netflix Marvel stuff got cancelled because yes, DAMNIT DISNEY, but it was written in the contracts that none of the Netflix Characters could be used by anybody else, even as a reboot, for 2 years after any series cancelation.

and.... i can't see.... DISNEY.... doing a good Punisher?

i'm more worried about what will happen to Deadpool now.

Really liking Umbrella Academy so far! I don't know anything about it, but it's pretty enjoyable!

I also just finished Happy, which was ok. Pretty predictable, but still pretty fun. Way more gory and R rated than I would have anticipated from SyFy.

Also, watching Final Table with the girlfriend. She loves cooking shows. This one is actually really good. The cinematography is pretty great.

I watch random episodes of sunny on Netflix fairly often when I'm bored.

One of my friends from high school is the lead writer on Sunny (he was also on the Cleveland show, Bojack horseman, and a few others).

Sunny was best the first three seasons. The first season is still some of the best. They have gems every now and then though, just a lot of bad episodes in between. Can't believe that show has lasted that long!

Ooo, definitely don't agree on the first season being the best!

I thought it was good but didn't quite find its feet till the second and even third seasons. :idk:

Some of my favourite episodes are actually from quite late in the show, though I agree taken as a whole the earlier ones were better.

But I definitely think it should have ended before now. All good things must come to an end, especially when they get less good.

Velvet Buzzsaw on Netflix was surprisingly good, weird creepy Jake Gyllenhaal is the best Jake Gyllenhaal.
