Man, way to make ME feel overprivileged. I'm a Manics fan that lives in Wales. Every tour is guaranteed a gig in Cardiff or Newport.

Then again, living in Wales isn't all roses. A lot of American bands will just play London, Glasgow and Manchester and call that a "UK tour"

Next for me is Mogwai in Cardiff. Saw them earlier this year and they were superb.
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey... stuff.

Saw The Psychedelic Furs last night. They were good, especially the dude on sax.
I no longer feel any kind of guilt for being the tall asshole in the middle of the crowd after having to watch one out of every few songs through A MILLION CELL PHONES that are all gonna upload shitty, shaky video to youtube later.

Besides, the cone of empty space behind me is kind of amusing.

"I'm a Manics fan that lives in Wales."

ENVY. that's like the 80s, when i was a Grateful Dead fan living in the SF Bay Area and got, like, ten shows a year.

"Saw The Psychedelic Furs last night. They were good, especially the dude on sax."

ah, yes, Mars is amazing. he has perhaps the broadest resume of anyone in modern music, having played with the Furs and Peter Brotzmann's Chicago Tentet.

btw The Orb were great, and the opener Logan Takahashi even better...Logan played more of a pure techno dance set which was 10/10. i'm totally whipped--i slept for 17 hours after i got home--because unlike most shows where i'm sat comfortably, i was up and dancing for 2.5 hours. it was good.

This past Friday caught Milo & the Ruby Yacht House Band live at a bar and it was one of the most affirming shows I've seen in recent history. Last time I saw him was Valentines Day 2016, when I booked him at my old show house. Easily 150 people turned out to that show, and he gave me a shoutout for that at the packed show Friday. There must've been 250 people in the venue and I swear at least a quarter of them (strangers mainly) shouted out saying they were at my house. It feels really neat to know that something I put so much effort into lives on in folks' memory, even those who don't know me personally. Beyond that, the show was just amazing. He played cuts from all over his discography & the vibes in the room were strong. Go see him if he's coming thru your town. He's got a backing band of 3 folks on SP404 & a trombone and the man knows how to lead a congregation.

Raab Zamboni (fake jazz/real noise//sax, modular synth, editing, misc) || Field Guide (my best friends//sax on 2 tracks)

I make t-shirts, patches, koozies, buttons, CDs, sometimes tapes, and eventually i'll start working on pedals again. DM me for pricing!
