Condolences on parting with the greatest looper ever. Though the El Cap is pretty rad in it's own right with the lofi loop decay, plus the delays are much better than the DL4.

I never used the DL4 as a looper. I always used the Akai Headrush, and then for the last couple of years, the EHX 720.

I'm hoping to explore the secondary functions of the El Cap with the warble and crinkle emulation for some cool degraded noise for segues and ambient parts of our songs.

I think that's just their in-house build. Here's their explanation:

Because of your unbelievable interest and support, the initial batch of PLASMA Pedals is very substantial – almost 1500 units!
This means we will be able to set up an efficient assembly line and execute all IndieGoGo orders within one month’s time!

I got a fender marine layer in a trade and it's pretty much perfect for me besides the blinding LEDs. I don't use it full wet, but for an always on end of the chain kind of thing, it's getting the job done. using mostly hall or shimmer with the highs rolled off. cuts thru the mix nicely.
