I keep it first in my chain because I like reverb before dirt and the rm sounds good out front, in my opinion.

Hey Andrew (or someone else).

I've had my RM-1N for a while and I totally love it.

But I can think of a small improvement... I'd rather the second footswitch was a latching switch where one setting was zero reverb (RM knob full CCW) and the other was wherever the pot is actually set. Because I like the drive so much but don't always want the reverb on.

Is this possible/easy enough I could DIY etc?

RM-1N currently featured in Robin and Allesandro's live rigs. Apparently it was used quite a bit on the latest EP's, pretty cool!
