Almost done with my Big swash.. messing with CV inputs after finding the Eurorack schematic. I need to clear coat the box still, but I haven't decided on 2 or 3 CV input locations. Definitely one at the onboard LFO injection point, and then maybe the swash and gate or just swash. Maybe a toggle ...

You know I thought I was skinning a fat hog as they say when I did doggystyle jacks on this thing .. but since it's a long ways DD box.. It may end up being a pain in the ass. Oh well
Well I'm almost done with this damn big swash. I experimented with the mixing resistors and ended up putting 33k and 1N5817s on a toggle .. with the clean blend up they both sound really different, since the whole idea is all kinds of mixing and bleed through. I added a second CV in with a on/off/on toggle to run swash or gate. Most of the controls are wired as variable resistors so if I don't like the gate I may wire one up to the noise pot. This was my first go at wiring a CV jack.. it took me a little bit to get it working, but I finally did. Used the Polypus Supreme CV out and built In 5 step sequencer to test it out. It's dope. I'm pretty excited to run it all together..
I also added a momentary NC push button toggle in series with the out to jack wire so it can be stuttered by hand.
The final thing I need to do is pick a second set of diodes for the other side of the pre and post clipping toggles. It's been kind of a bear. I haven't had much time lately so it's slowly coming to completion.

Yeah man I think it turned out pretty good, the box looks pretty awesome in person .. I used like 9 different paints and layered glitters and glow in the darks.. I may jettison the red switch caps and do white or none. Just want it to look dope. I've put quite a bit of time into this one.. Jesus
Well I finished it, and it sounds awesome. Here's a little YouTube video of it in a particular area that sounded real fun with the LFO creating a surging sound.

Added an Orman mosfet boost after the self oscillation on output.. you can really goose the output now. It was pretty loud before, but now you can really juice it into stuff. I think tonight I'm going to run it into my sub commander, excited to hear that. I also need to mess with the second set of clipping diodes on preclip. I put some D9B's in there, not sure I dig those. The 3mm paralleled sounds way better than I thought. This is kind of turning into the painting you never want to finish. At some point I just need to let it be done.
Added the boost full time and it's awesome. Shoehorned it on the side, it goes in the signal chain right before the killswitch, so you can goose the oscillation and signal all in one.
Also built a 1590A perc .. 2N2907 in PNP and 2N2369 in the NPN.. sounds great. I put it up in the perc thread.. but I built it so I figured I'd document it here too

Well I haven't built anything in like 2 months. Got locked into some fairly deep depression and didn't want to do shit..
But now I'm feeling pretty dece and I built an Escobedo TMK (too many knobs) with 2 added knobs for high cut (tone) and a bias knob. It does pretty nutty fuzz stuff with some octave etc, I also put the clipping diodes in the feedback stage on a toggle with some D9B's so it has nice germanium clipping too. Anyway there it is. I think I spent longer laboring over the case than the circuit. It's a good one. Sounded good with 1458s too.

Just the standard krylon marking orange, and then glitter sparkle acrylics I've been getting from Michael's.. used some sponges and layered the colors I likes. It has a good glitter in person hehe and a big 10mm white led
Long time ago I bought a MFOS ring mod board. It has some unique functionality built around a 13700 and a AD633. Has internal signal generator and then allows a secondary input that you can cross instead of the oscillator. Then it has signal squaring as well. All that is lacking now is I need to miniaturize my 12V bipolar supply.

I thought that maybe just building the odd pedal kit might amuse me now I've run out of pedals I really must have, but that makes me want to try tinkering too - I'll have to give it some thought while I save up some money, but building and owning something that makes uniquely ridiculous noises is something I could really get into
