Nice. Did you try different LEDs ? It changes the response quite a bit. UV sounds cool as well as the blue.. pink was also neat

Props to Tom, I did a clone of his Phantom Octave (with a Parasit Studio relay bypass board). Not the cleanest build inside, but works and sounds good, a responsive and versatile octave fuzz.

Pre-painted enclosure (graphics tbd), Lego LED lens, side volume knob.

BoS, I don't have pink or UV unfortunately, just a bunch of yellow 3mm and a mixed bag of Romanian 5mm LEDs. The white ones were cool, but as soon as I found a blue one I stuck with that. It's socketed though, so probably in the future I'll try others.

Just finished boxing the Inchindown, clone of the Ibanez EM5 Echo Machine. Digital, but has a certain warmth reminiscent of the old tape delays like the Echoplex.





I really really love this thing. You can get your Edge on in a hurry.

Yeah... I gave up dressing up my boxes after my second build, which was like 10 years ago now. I found it tedious in the end. When the objective is sound, looks are a non-issue for me.

Quick looks says that one of the main chips is unobtainium now. No point drawing it up if you can't fill all the holes.

I read that it has quite the cult though.

heres a couple Dual USB Midi Hosts i put together yesterday
someone over at the op1 forum hipped me to this concept
of simply connecting 2 host boards together, and they communicate brilliantly.
pretty much all the USB Host things i've found out there are all USB > DIN or way overkill so being able to go USB > USB is rad.
the best part is if u are looking for USB to DIN conversion,
u simply plug in a class compliant USB to DIN adapter on one end (i have a iconnect mio)
and viola! so its super flexible.
hooked up a 2500maH LIPO battery so its completely portable and its about the size of a cigarette pack
should give me 185 hours on one charge by my calculations

Another "plain brown wrapper". Mother Brain. Clone of the Lovetone Big Cheese. I'm using a combo of 2N2219, 2N2218A, and ECG123 transistors. An LM833 op amp. Absolutely virulent fuzz. Sorta like "Spirit in the Sky", but with more hair.

Big cheese is great there's a dude on YouTube who does a demo of it that goes by "fatback" damn it's tasty playing. I built mine in a 125B, it barely fit.
