Re: The Whatever Thread .. For Gear!!
Anyone have experience with the Celestion G12k100 speakers?
I can get a pair for around 100$.
I play baritones loud.

Do any Mini Tuners pass a signal, even when the tuner is engaged? I want to put a mini tuner on my oscillator box, so I can visually monitor the pitch. So the signal needs to pass through when the tuner is on.

Re: The Whatever Thread .. For Gear!!
I haven't tried them, but by reputation I would hit that as a likely fit. Supposed to be Celestion's closest model to an EVM-12, with great headroom and extended response (that is, more and clearer bass). If I saw that deal, I would buy right now for the rig I'm slowly building.ognoy wrote:Anyone have experience with the Celestion G12k100 speakers?

Oh that looks like a good suggestion, except I don't see any used ones for sale (and hoping to do this cheap). It doesn't even have to be an accurate tuner, just close.ognoy wrote:Boss TU-3S?
Edit - I see Behringer makes a Boss TU2 clone, and Hotone has a mini tuner. Sorry to take up bandwidth

I've always liked the broadcasts, they have this low gain but still supersaturated tone that I don't hear too often. I've always wanted a two channel one but they always go out of stock quickly or are release when I lack funds.

I've been curious to try one, but more importantly those knobs are rad.

Yeah, they're a victim of their own hype at the minute. I got mine a batch or two before it really blew up. I'd like to try some of his other stuff but it's not cheap and the broadcast is so good, I don't really *need* much else.Inconuucl wrote:I've always liked the broadcasts, they have this low gain but still supersaturated tone that I don't hear too often. It's not very a complicated build though. If you or a mate are happy to knock out a clone, it'll at least let you know if it suits you... and whether or not you actually want the 24v charge pump, which seems to be the more popular version lately

I want to get some end caps for a daisy chain, so the unused plugs don't short out my pedals. Godlyke sells them but they're like a buck apiece when shipping is factored. Can't we get them cheaper, if we buy them as industrial supply?

It seems like the Boss style barrels are 5.5mm diameter (?) external. I see these, but maybe they're too long (15mm, while it seems like the Boss barrels are 10mm): https://www.ebay.com/itm/40Pcs-5-5mm-I ... Desc=0%7C0
Not sure what size I'm looking for, to be honest. I don't want them so tight that they don't slip off.

The only drawback for electrical tape is the gross residue left after it's been on for a while through hot days.harpies wrote:...or a wrap of electrical tape.
