Hey, I'm thinking about getting one of these because it has dual outputs, but I'm wondering if there is tone suck / volume loss like with the Boss TU-2. I had a TU-2 that I used to use to split my signal but it definitely diminished the output level and liveliness of my instrument's signal. Maybe it was the buffer, I dunno. I mainly need this to double my signal, and don't want to use a passive ABY as that cuts the signal in half, so I'd need an active doubler. I'd like not to spend the money on something like the Empress buffer/splitter, and of course I'd also like the function of the tuner. I just feel skeptical about Monoprice stuff, though that's probably irrational.
Any thoughts/experiences?

They look like this and are also branded ModTone and I'm sure several other names.

Fuck it, I found an Empress buffer/splitter thing for half price so I'll use that
