Well thanks to ilovefuzz I picked up another dod gunslinger for $40 (rather than $100 which I paid years ago) ... I am a huge fan of the hardware sc-2 which I found very close to the gunslinger (both have “tubey” dynamics) but I think the gunslinger has a touch more clarity/dynamics ... coincidentally, I found a post by a digitech rep a few months ago noting that the gunslinger is indeed loosely based on the hardwire sc-2 on the saturated setting

Was anybody here able to AB the Boneshaker with a Boss HM2? Can the DOD minic the HM2 grinding mids?

I did compare both schems (HM2 and BShak) and with few mods you could turn the DOD into a HM2 workalike!

Just got a Boneshaker the other day: really cool and versatile pedal.
Still try to figure out how much the Depth control affects the sound, but the 3 band parametric EQ makes this a winner!

The depth is only really noticeable for me when I play my 8 string through it.. but yeah otherwise it's fantastic.

Boneshaker might be the best pedal I found with the Twin but doesn't take well to JMP.

In that other thread people were joking about snagging DOD pedals up before they become unobtanium..
:erm:

Pretty sure the Boneshaker was discontinued a while before we got axed. Many of the DOD pedals were always intended as limited runs - people have been charging crazy money for the 440 and Meatbox for a while now.

I've seen people trying to sell new Meatboxes for more than old ones. :whateva:
