I remember reading Jay Abend, the head of Bedrock, say that they basically killed their margins on the 20 watters because it would have felt unfair not to charge less than for the 50s.

I really wanted one of those Royale models that they made near the end but broke student years and not many come up used.

I played a Royale a long time ago, sounded pretty great from what I can remember. They seem to have gone up over the last few years, but I still see decent deals occasionally.

Same guy. Before Bedrock he was with Guild, doing artist relations and I think product development on solid body electrics in the 80s.
