Re: Red Panda Tensor
I’d be so happy if they fix it soon. I’ve never had a Red Panda pedal before so I’m not sure how solid their customer support is. I think it’s an awesome pedal but he pops are super annoying and basically unusable. If they don’t fix it... then that’s a different story.

About 2/3's through that video clip from A Bunch of Pedals they state the issues will be addressed soon. So, hopefully. Obviously they know about it at least.

Re: Red Panda Tensor
Notice he keeps the hold toggle in "next" mode pretty much the entire time. As I noted above, when hold is set to overdub, that's when you can get some really nasty static (even when not actually overdubbing). Plus, I didn't see him actually overdub anything (which has its own set of issues).
I'd guess that omission was not accidental.
(Though that doesn't necessarily negate the very cool things it does at this point. Otherwise a fine demo.)

Re: Red Panda Tensor
Definitely not accidental. The overdub mode doesn’t sound that great and it’s weird with two loopers. Still fun as hell though. I didn’t really see the point in playing a bunch of screwed up loops. Is there something I’m missing about Red Panda? Seems like there’s a lot of harsh comments about them. I get it, it sucks that thebpedal is bugged out but it’s still cool and interesting. Definitely a blast to play with. That being said, I wouldn’t really record with it because of the crackles.zoooombiex wrote:

The harsh comments are in regards to the product, not the company. Red Panda is cool people. The product obviously was not tested as it went out the door though, which is really disheartening.
When/If they fix it, I’m sure a lot of us will be happy.

Re: Red Panda Tensor
I don't know if they had any BETA testers but I wish they would have given it to some of us before release. I know it's hard sometimes for small companies but it would have saved a lot of hassle.Jesus Was a Robot wrote:The harsh comments are in regards to the product, not the company. Every other pedal with the Spin chip that does similar things makes these kinds of noises. I doubt it's something they can change.

I’ve had a ton of spin chip pedals and never had this issue.oldangelmidnight wrote:Every other pedal with the Spin chip that does similar things makes these kinds of noises. I doubt it's something they can change.
In fact, I can’t even think of one that has anything close.

Does this use the spin chip? I thought that chip was limited to 1 second of record/buffer time.

Re: Red Panda Tensor
Yeah, it's not spin chip.
I kinda like how this sounds more and more, actually. But I still don't understand why they're not putting tone knobs on some of their pedals. Like two octaves up get real shrill. Would be nice to roll some of the top end off. It's basically the same issue I had with the Particle. Might have to pick one up and do a hack job passive filter on it.

That's a good point. Have you ever emailed them and suggested it? I bet they'd be open to ideas like that.UglyCasanova wrote:Yeah, it's not spin chip.
