What was wrong with the first one?
Nothing! Nothing at all in fact. I find it amazing and inspiring. This is for a second board.

Actually there are a lot of things wrong with this pedal. Doesn't manage to do half of what it's supposed to do with any degree of sonic reliability. So much potential, and so close, but the unpredictable glitches are way too much. Super frustrating. This product feels like it was rushed out the door half-baked after lots of delays. Hopefully firmware updates will be able to improve things. As it is I feel like I got cheated on this preorder.

I contacted them but I feel like everyone should. I played mine again today and it’s coming off my board and being shelved until an update happens. It’s a cool pedal without the looping (which isn’t working right), but I can do the same stuff as it offers with my Nemesis and CT5.

I’m not sure how anyone could enjoy the noise it makes. It literally ruins the loops. It’s not useful artifacts, just noise.

Man I am so glad I cancelled my pre-order. Had a gut feeling it'd be sub-par. Now that I recall, that little video they put on their site mostly focused on non looping modes and I think the one time they did a loop thing the volume was really low...would need to double check. Makes sense they wouldn't showcase looping in a demo with all the issues.

"Hopefully it gets fixed with firmware" is not what folks should be saying with a new release.

It’s got a lot of good going on, but it definitely wasn’t ready for shipment. The noisy bits for looping don’t always happen for me, but they do happen enough to not rely on it for overdubsz

I guess I didn't get it as a looper but I understand where some of you are coming from.

Yeah, I've found some settings that work great, and I've mostly scoped out the specific combinations of settings that cause the artifacts - and carefully avoid those. But it's leaving a lot of stuff on the table that it absolutely should be able to do fine. There's no reason to put a pedal out with the errors we are seeing. It's ironic given how long they've been working on this.

I think they will fix the issues. Considering where the pedal was a year ago when they first introduced it to where it is now IS a long way (I wasn't interested when I first saw it then). I reckon firmware can fix it. They already addressed the pitch suggestions we made with the latest firmware so I don't see why not.

First video games can't run without a Day 0 patch, now pedals? Fucking internet ruins everything. :oldrant:

I kind of wonder if they felt so rushed that they didn't test the looping function before shipping? I mean, I don't see how else this happens. To me the pedal is literally unusable now. I was using it for the loops mostly, which I figure with it being this type of glitch pedal, most would be doing.

Now it works flawlessly without the looping section but that is literally more than half the pedals use IMO. If I don't have the looper, I don't need it. I have other pedals that can accomplish pretty much the exact same things.

I will note too that a few of the sounds and functions I've heard on demos, are no where to be found for me. Like Nick Reinhearts (SP?) run of it. I can't get anything like he did. I've tried. I have no fucking clue how he's doing what he's doing.

I just got mine and I don't get the hate. Looping is buggy, but only really on the overdub mode. Without the looping it sounds excellent to me

EDIT: I guess I was also looking forward to the non-looping features so everything I wanted is there and works well

FWIW, got confirmation they are working on a firmware update that will address "most or all" of the issues I've noted above.
