Delay pedal that plays back at slower speed?

Post by John »

Pardon me if this is a dumb question with an obvious answer, but is there a delay device out there that will play back the sample at slower speed? Not a sampler that has variable playback, but an effect that lets you play through and just spits it back out like molasses?

For some reason I thought form was only a workshop build. I’d be really interested in picking one up if they release it.

FORM1 was workshop only (the exception being a few demoers) and FORM2 is FORM1+Fabrikat+empty eeprom slot for programming at the workshop (32 programs/modes = four banks in one enclosure). Fabrikat will be the production model (16 programs total), and will be smaller than the FORM pedals (the last I heard he was considering the new enclosure size (Tensor size)). Not sure if Knut talked about making a batch of FORM2s for sale though.

Red Panda Tensor will also do this.

Non-molasses pedals that slow it down granularly include the Outward, the Particle, and soon we'll have FORM and Fabrikat from Pladask Elektrisk.
By granularly are you talking about like a glitchy sound? I'm looking to run my voice through it so I want it to retain clarity. Does that mean the CT5 is what I should be aiming for? Thanks for your replies.

The tensor thread makes it seem like it's not without glitchiness.

The Alexander Syntax Error will also play back at slower speeds but is also not a perfect reproduction of the sample.
Although this thread does make me want to try my Syntax Error in the feedback loop of a delay pedal.
