Yea, both modes...like one second maybe (probably less). It's noticable though and it kinda kills a riff...but it could make a riff I guess too.

Edit: well, it was either not enough ma (had it on a 200ma out on my cioks, switched to voodoo labs 400ma) or just phase cancel/weirdness from the fuzzrite (ghost) being before it. Did it with my old fuzzrite too. Went to dirt after and no problem (though, that was after changing power supplies too).

I think I'm too dumb for my RV-500. It's (to me at least) really complicated and I can't figure out where the good stuff lives beyond just using the dials.

I bought an MXR Reverb today and I'm much happier with it.

I think I'm a simpleton.

I fucked with a Helix FX today expecting to be disappointed and honestly it’s amazing. The fuzzes and more gnarly distortions are actually pretty rad. The low gain stuff is awful, but that’s expected. All of the mod and time based stuff is absolutely incredible, along with the pitch and synth effects. It’s way cheaper than an H9, sounds about as good, and can run multiple effects at once in preset scenes. All in all, pretty rad thing and may become part of my synth and baritone shoegaze rig.

This is what stopped me going the DD-500 route. I know what they're capable of, but I just can't hack the menu diving and fiddling. No menus, no problems (for me at least).

Same. It’s a bummer because I badly want to go the way of presets but I just can’t handle any device I’ve had that has them.

It's nowhere near the same level of complexity, but I have had 2 weeks of frustration trying to get this Source Audio fuzz pedal to work right. I mean, it WORKS, it makes the sounds that are preset into it. I just can't get the smart phone app thing to work that lets you edit tones, change sounds, load presets and all that. Which is, honestly, the only reason I bought it. It does actually sound good. The presets are pretty much a heavy sounding Muff, a smooth sounding Fuzz Face and a fairly polite octave fuzz. I kind of wish the octave fuzz preset sounded...more shitty? I could see using it as just a utility fuzz pedal easily, but I really wanted access to the elaborate editing and routing options and I'm still trying to figure out how to get the editing part to work at all.

I am a total caveman when it comes to gear. Most of the time I could get away with a tuner and one or two pedals and never change my settings once I get them dialed in. Any time I have to use complicated digital technology, I feel like it's a given that it won't work right or at all straight away. I am the person that gets the dud or the incompatible EVERYTHING on the first go.

Getting the duds sucks. Especially when it’s tech you aren’t familiar with so you spend forever figuring out if it’s you or the device.

I'm really detail oriented too, so I generally watch every video and read the manual before I even touch something.

I think it might be that my phone's headphone jack is too loud for the control input of the pedal, but it took me deep diving on Google for people having similar problems with Android phones to find even a whisper of that solution. I was updating and rebooting and double checking every little thing. So the only thing I've done with the pedal for two weeks is strum, hit buttons, fiddle with cables and repeat.

Seller had it listed for 400, I still wanted it so was ready to send him an offer, when he told me it was 400 but in MX pesos, about 22 USD lol.
Shit needs some love tho, but what it works, sounds goooood.
Wow! I had similar lucky synth deals in the past (KORG Trident for 50€ and Mono/Poly for 200€). Some of the Juno-106's ICs are prone to failure nowadays, because can become humid inside. I've read about that and it can be cured with the right procedures. Maybe your ICs suffer from that as well. 22$! That's a Metal Zone, you know!

If you need some help regarding key contacts or other mechanical stuff (I'm sadly no electronic expert), just come back to me. I have repaired several synths and keyboard instruments in the past. ;)

Man I'm glad I'm not alone.

I remember there was a thread a while back about pedals with tons of knobs and I was like "yeah I like simple pedals, two or three knobs and I'm good", but then I wondered if I was missing out by being stubborn or something. Nope, I just hate menu diving and tweaking.

I do this thing CONSTANTLY where I am using really simple pedals to get a specific tone that I like. Then I think "I wish I could dial this in more specifically", so I get a fancier version (or maybe even a customized version from the builder) with way more controls and then I tweak all the settings and get it all perfect...and then I never touch it. So I look at it and think "I could probably get this same tone with less space/knobs, if I just used a smaller/simpler version". The madness never ends, it's an existential hell of GAS.

I have made similar comments previously about cheap mass produced stuff vs fancy name brand vs custom build (amps, guitars/basses). Starting off cheap, then buying the name brand, then selling both to get custom, then buying something super cheap for fun and end I end up using that 90% of the time. With some exceptions. I have a custom amp I would never sell that's a monster pedal platform for guitar and great bass amp, but it's so big and loud it's practically architecture. So it lives in my dungeon, sitting on an 8x10, plugged into a 1x12, when I could probably get away with a Fender 1x12 and be totally cool.

Dude thank you, I really appreciate it! <3

I "repaired" the keys of an old MIDI keyboard before but with this Juno I think it's not that the keys are being unresponsive, I'll start the fix process this weekend and might get in touch with you ;)

And btw, $22 deals are the best lol
