My favourite thing about the Mantis was the fuzz.

PRS - Terra Fuzz - Mesa Mark IV (there's some delay around 0:23-0:57 in the swelling velcroish part) apart from that no other stuff was added just picking dynamics and using the vol knob on the guitar. Thanks to Javier Vargas for his playing

Fender Telecaster - Terra Fuzz - Mesa Mark IV. Thanks to Antonio Brito for playing with it

Congrats on yet another brilliant pedal. Just beautiful--love what it does to the attack/decay characteristics of the note. Seems to be a sonic cousin to the Caracol, which is my new favorite pedal. I think I'm going to have to obtain one of these as well and stack them for maximal ADSR crushage.
On an other board, in another time:
"I also have a Fat Goat HB/P90 on my bastardized f-hollowed V, which is made of God-knows what kind of wood and of how many pieces. That guitar sounded OK when I installed one Shlabotnik pup on it; it actually became alive, very soaring; but I ended up preferring the Fat Goat, which gives me a darker, more "barking" tone as well as more "CHANK" and (maybe) better dynamics when played clean."
