Can't speak for anyone else, but I hate racing stripes on a Strat-style body. I don't care for Strats or derivatives either, so that's 3 things I dislike immediately. It's just really dorky overall. I agree the stripes and location are a bad look all around.
As I recall from an old rig rundown the original version of this had taped on stripes by the owner, and I thought that looked cooler
