He goes into great detail of why you need the proper type of shoe you can adjust pedals with your shoes so you can do your best on a praise and worship gig. I didn't find it useful because I tape all my knobs, wear chunky shoes and find that type of music offense

Very much taking the piss. This video doesn't crack me up, but he's one of the people who does the "60 Cycle Hum" podcast. It's pretty good and focuses on 2nd hand gear and Craigslist scores. Both guys are into Praise and Worship, but played in a goofy punk band. They seem like decent human beings though and not preachy about it at all. I'm an atheist and have never cringed once listening to them.

I'd recommend giving the podcast a listen and see if it's your thing.

i think i'm done with sneakers (in non-sneakering events). i've been wearing mostly chelsea boots for about a year and they are really nice to walk in, super durable, and keep my feet warm and dry. been thinking about getting some cool dress shoes, like classic oxfords or something. there's a shop close by which sells vegan shoes but their selection on this department wasn't that good. they're having a shipment of shoes from a manufacturer called will's, who seem to make some really nice stuff. i think i'm going to wait for that and try out how they fit my feet.

probably not adulting, but more like slowly turning into a goth.

Docs suck for pedal stomping, even the low ones. Too heavy too big. Though I own 3 pairs and they are the only shoes I wear outside of work.

i feel like it's not just that they are heavy, but most of the time the sole of the boot is too thick to get a good feel on stomping the switches.
