I'm posting here so I can focus on the positive. My wife had 5 interviews Friday and got 5 offers. She will have a job on Monday and likely start the 5th. I'm trying to be a good husband, even if my ego is crushed. 5 applications, 5 interviews, 5 offers. I have to sell my video games, amplifier, and a few pedals so we can eat and buy gas until her first paycheck, but that is better than the void we were facing. I'm at a crossroads, feeling like a failure as a man and as an IT professional, but I have to swallow that pride. Income is all that matters right now. She is working hard and getting better. I am taking solace in that.

Sitting in the park ingesting beer and string cheese like a homeless person and listening to MBMBaM while a family flies their kite above me. They almost lost one kite in Lake Michigan, but the string was still on the ground.
