So what you're saying is that he's incredibly boring? It's a perfect fit!
Murrrr....do we need a reminder that without The Rolling Stones' Satisfaction the fuzz pedal industry wouldn't exist?

But generally, laying on the bass drum is highly underappreciated outside of metal/hard rock, and where did that come from?

That's quite a thing to admit.
I'm good at doing this. It really blows to have to humor people you don't want to talk to, and it also usually doesn't have the best results when you flat out tell someone you don't want to listen to their shit. I've done all three, and your current M.O. is probably the best ;)
Yeah I feel gross about it, but...eh. I realize it's kinda dumb to 'confess' it. Not generally how people should be treated.
The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents.

Putting the psuedo-libertarian ideology aside, I think MacGyver's who I want to be when I grow up.

I have gotten to the point, especially with work folk, where I can barely even respond to email. Just don't fucking care enough anymore. Need to find a new path in life. Not even sure how one does that pushing forty with a mortgage and kids. Honestly I probably can't even seriously think about that. Over ten years at one place. Totally stuck at this point.

Also. I secretly hate my wife as she is very successfully self employed and gets to sleep until 7 and work in the basement. She is super rad for this at the same time.

Early onset midlife crisis yo! :fart noises:

At some point we had pages with nothing but her face, stretching for miles, miles I tell you.

I think he's a great musician but he comes off as such an asshole. So smug, and mostly not funny, even though he very much thinks he is.

That said, from what I gather it seems he was actually a pretty solid guy. I dunno. You're certainly not alone in your feelings.

Did anyone ever tell him that if he doesn't write rests, the saxophone player will just keep holding the notes until they have to go on to the next mindless melody?

Or did he just lump dynamics and space in the same category as drugs, things he was "too cool" for?

And I'm not talking about him as a person, just his shitty music.

REALLY surprises me you like Zappa, DoS. But then again you like the Dead (and so do I).

I dunno. I love Inca Roads. I just hate goofy music. Except for Ween.
