They have so many masterpieces that the only abomination is your inability to recognize the greatness.


There is a lot (like a lot) of hot garbage, but I think you could pretty comfortably take their 20 best songs and put it up against more or less anything.

Back in the Sixties, they were a brilliant product of their times. The social turbulence of the Sixties was a catalyst for radical cultural change, and the music was a focal point for those changes. The Stones had the kind of impact on musical consciousness that will never be seen again.

I'm good at doing this. It really blows to have to humor people you don't want to talk to, and it also usually doesn't have the best results when you flat out tell someone you don't want to listen to their shit. I've done all three, and your current M.O. is probably the best ;)
