Re: The Confessions Thread
What did you listen to?
Confession: I've listened to a bunch of his stuff and didn't like any of it.

Harmony in Ultraviolet:

I wouldn't say he's an instant genre-defining favorite or anything (even though I really dig that record) but it makes a lot of sense why so many people go to this guy first (I checked some other tunes out and this sort of thing seems to be 'what he does') if/when they're trying to get into this kind of stuff.

I think he's pretty fantastic. Ravedeath and Radio Amor are particular faves of mine.

The Work Of Art In The Age Of Cultural Overproduction is one of my favorite songs of all time, and i maybe wouldn't push this hard for everything he's done (though i have liked everything i've heard), but i consider it pretty much a masterpiece. Haunt Me, Haunt Me, Do It Again is a great album, as is Harmony in Ultraviolet and An Imaginary Country.

Well, thank you! I like that one very much -- sort of sounds like "Become Ocean" run through a Sherman Filterbank.D.o.S. wrote:Harmony in Ultraviolet:

I seem to remember the others I tried had a really ominous tone and that's not really my thing when it comes to this type of music, but I will have to check them out again.

Ive returned to a coffee shop before just because of this. Not in a creepy stalky way, but in a "I want coffee, I remember that really cute barista works there, let's get coffee there." I wouldn't be surprised if coffee shop owners hired them for this very reason.popvulture wrote:Dude I know. The WORST.Iommic Pope wrote:Cute baristas are my weakness.

I've got an epic problem. This epic problem's not a problem for me.
The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents.
