I don't see many ghost delays around but a lot of people rock the echo dream
maybe they just don't sell that well? or they're replacing it with something similar.

Have been using a Line 6 POD500 for the past few months. I really miss pedals.

Re: The Whatever Thread .. For Gear!!
A lot of people like having one or two effects on all the time and, often, these effects are (or could be) at the end of the signal path before the amp's preamp. Things like reverb, delay, EQ or a booster to hit the front end of the amp a bit harder. Maybe these are in the effects loop.
Why does no amp builder (as far as I know) do an amp with a courtesy 9v DC outlet to run a pedal or two? You don't need everything at your feet all the time and space on stage is always at a premium. I know I'd definitely rather leave a stomp or two safely in the back of an open-back amp than on the floor, at the mercy of getting broken/spilt on. It'd be cheaper than putting a crappy reverb in your amp because some people expect amps to have it.

A few do...not sure of any modern amps. My ampeg v-4 has one. Could be concerns over hum, idk.MechaGodzilla wrote:A lot of people like having one or two effects on all the time and, often, these effects are (or could be) at the end of the signal path before the amp's preamp. The 1970 Traynor YBA-1 I used to have had a 3 prong plug in back. I used it to plug in a little PC cooling fan wired up to a cellphone charger. I think a few other 80's and older amps I've owned over the years also had them. No newer models though.

Re: The Whatever Thread .. For Gear!!
Eh, not the end of the world. The only reason I put it in there was because when it still had the original NOS tubes in it, once I was practicing at high volume for something like 3-4 hours straight and one of the tubes blew. As in blew the fucking top right off, it was pretty loud. It felt pretty hot inside, so I had one of my bandmates wire up the fan. They were 40 year old tubes though.tremolo3 wrote: I've lost your cooling fan man

This one's for all you tapeheads (funny right) out there. This guy has made a tape recorder/player that you can scratch with and do a bunch of other stuff with.

I expect stuff like that might get a popularity bump from Baby Driver.

Debated on it for a Grim Ripper. But then I lost interest and then another pedal came my way.

I did the 50s wiring mod to a tele I've had for years... fuckin WOW. I thought it needed better pickups but this is a huge improvement lol can't believe I didn't do it sooner
