That's part of the vintageness. Don't remove the cover candy (music books' version of original store case candy.)

I looked through the disappointing "Musical Instruments" category on Amazon's Prime Day Deals so you don't have to. It is mostly LED lights (???) and speakers/headphones. The only two things that might be interesting, if you wanted them, that I spotted:
