Re: The Confessions Thread

Post by Sparrow »

i haven't been sleeping much. like a few hours in days :(

i'm worried about a friend of mine. he's drinking too much. which is none of my business i guess. but he takes sleeping pills everyday too. i can't remember the last time i saw him when he wasn't having a few .. or pretty drunk. he's starting a new family life. and that's a lot of new lifestyle. he mentions his death/ grave a few too many times for my liking as well. i'm concerned.

my ex is having a lot of Anxiety the last little while. she has very severe Bipolar. she has been hospitalized in the past. a few times.
it was Horrifying.
i saw her the other day and she freaked out on me. and. i still carry a lot of hurt from her choices and actions.
it's very very hard caring for someone that treats me very bad - at times.

i'm ok.

I don't understand the celebration of negativity, but I sure do love the music it spawns.

8-9 years later and I still love HORSE the Band. Everyone shits on them constantly, but I don't know, I've just never not loved them.

Every time I see Chankgeez's username, I think of Car Thief by the Beastie Boys

Then I met this girl she tried to gank me
So I smacked her in the booty with a plank, B
This is a very impressive collection of Roto Toms. That's 21 Roto Toms in all. That is only $33.00 a Roto Tom.

So the album we've been recording is entering later stages of production, and I just realized that means we have to figure out a way to promote/sell it as best we can.

 What do?

When I was like 7 or 8, I was swimming with our neighbors in their pool and I had to poop all of the sudden. So I got out of the pool and tried to dry off on my way to the bathroom, but I had to go really badly. I made it to the bathroom, but when I pulled my shorts down a perfect plop of poopy slipped out and onto the floor.

I cleaned it up, but I don't think I've ever told anyone.

I never watched that documentary for whatever reason. One day probably.

I was on the wrong side of the whole Dwarfcraft/Devi Ever thing. I've known Devi for years, longer than I've been on ILF, and it clouded my perception of things. I was more excited about seeing her make pedals again than I was concerned with the ethical issues on Devi's end or the financial harm she was inflicting on aen and aen's wife. When it blew up, I got defensive, then depressed. I ended up in a position where I couldn't continue to support Devi, but I was also embarrassed and ashamed of my stance, so I just avoided ILF completely. It was symptomatic of a bout of depression and anxiety that I am only now starting to get past. I was wrong and I should have known better. I am sorry, aen and aen's wife. I am sorry, Tom, for my part in the drama. I'm sorry, Devi, for being a fanboy and not a friend. I'm sorry to everyone who got swept up in it. I endeavor to be a useful, positive part of this community and I let myself and everyone down.
My force of habit, I am an insect
I have to confess I'm proud as hell of that fact

Well dude, benefit of hindsight and all that. For the record I didn't have a problem with you defending Devi, she's your friend and there is always bias when it comes to that stuff. I don't think you necessarily have to be 100% objective about it. When I replied to your comment I was more annoyed that you criticised us than I was about you not condeming her or something and I never thought badly of you for it, just felt the need to dole out a bit of a wrist slap you know? I was going though a tough time myself and I guess it hit a sore spot. So sorry if I contributed in any way to you taking a break. I like you and I'm glad you're still around because I just think it's super dumb that we lost ANYONE over that whole fiasco.

chuck I highly doubt anyone is upset at you for taking an opposing position. you shouldn't let something as minor as that hang heavy on your mind, it's really not a big deal at all. anyone who holds you accountable or at fault for having an opinion is an asshole. everyone makes mistakes
