I've been really curious about that. I wish it wasn't so new and that there were some gutshots, I'm curious whether it's just another preamp circuit or something more interesting.

With the level cranked and the amp breaking up, it's a very different animal and quite pleasing. There's still something not quite right about the EQ but I'm not sure what it is. Also whut up with the "Depth" knob? To my ears it does about nothing!
Are you using it for bass or guitar? Turning the depth knob up reduces the super low frequencies...so I think it's probably only really noticeable on bass. I use mine for guitar so I just turned it all the way up and assumed it is doing something but yeah, can't really tell.
Ah ok that makes sense. Yeah just used it on guitar, but he's using it for bass. He put it on his board today and it did seem to do something very slight, but then again we weren't listening specifically to the very low end so we might have just experienced attentional deafness.

The PD100 PCB is situated with components on its opposite side, so only the backside of the board is visible when the backplate is removed. It definitely behaves like a preamp, though I have no idea what's going on under the hood. :idk:

Nice! What do we have to do to bypass the grit and get a beautifully clean 3-band parametric preamp? Bypass the diodes before the high band?

Hey so I was looking for a PCB design project to work on today during downtime at the job, so I turned this into a PCB (**only the EQ section, no distortion**). The vero layout I came up with doesn't work, so rather than troubleshoot I think I'm just gonna order some PCBs now. If anyone wants either a PCB or a finished build get at me some time in the next few days? The PCB is small enough to fit a 125B, but good luck getting 9 knobs in there

Also dang DRod that looks killer!!!!

I make t-shirts, patches, koozies, buttons, CDs, sometimes tapes, and eventually i'll start working on pedals again. DM me for pricing!

Functioning! Sounds fucking killer.

Better pics and full run through of the setup when I'm less exhausted.

Sorta.

Each bone shaker gets roughly two strings via sideways pickups. Carried over via a 4 pin xlr cable to the shake shack. And then 3 individual outs in case I want more individualish effects.

(pre finsihed pic)

Sounds meaty. Tons of low end. clear everything. Dynamic and loud. It's like dirty dynamic clarity. I dig the shit out out of it
