Finally home, Tokai Rickenbacker. Played a few originals and this thing delivers in every aspect. The bridge is an improvement over the original, the neck-through construction is just like the original, tuning hardware is top quality. The electronics can be improved though, neck pickup is muffled and weak, the pots are noisy and feels cheap and the shielding is crap. The bridge pickup is really good. Was planning on ripping out everything not wood, but I'll just do the wiring harness / shielding and maybe the neck pickup.

Nice Tokai Ric! ..and the other instruments back there here, like that Mosrite and ish, man... BUTTT---keeping it cheap over here, I just went ahead and bought this used Epiphone Classic 'bird from an actual music shop nearby. Had it on loan for like a week, put it through its paces and it's held up well. Never owned a bass before so this is my first. The K-On! figurine was a gift from a friend who was in Japan, it's not gear but she is playing a very detailed Mustang!

My new bass that arrived yesterday! Fender Tony Franklin fretless. I'm in love, amazing bass and I got a nice deal on it too. Only been home in the evenings since I got it so no time yet to play it loud but through my practice amp it's my ideal bass sound really. It's great having the P/J setup.

I'm done messing with this so here is a picture. I've wanted one of those since I was 15 :yay:
early 90s applause bass, 30" scale, solid spruce top, fan braced.
I ripped out the electronics because they suck and installed a K&K big twin, painted the headstock black, changed the tuners, put on a new nut and saddle and have it strung with Labella contrabass classical guitar strings. It now sounds great! also louder then most other acoustic bass guitars I've played/owned

Fairly new but my favorite bass I've ever owned. Haven't even set it up or changed the strings (although I probably should, I had like four shows lined up the week I bought it and no money).
My music:
