They have a new line coming out that actually has a lot of appealing pedals for cheap. Tailspin vibrato being one.
Rebranded Behringer pedals.
With better looks, switches, enclosures, etc. Do I really need to pull up the countless posts of people wishing they could get that vibrato in that format? Or people taking the time to mod/rehouse them for that matter.
Does anyone run a compressor with their elements? Or anything else as a boost? It didn't seem to like my OCD, and my Bifet really only sounded good after it.
I have a jazzmaster with humbuckers and I'm looking to replace them. I'm looking at Buddha pickups and he has either humbucker sized p90s and hb sized single coils. The description says you can get them "jazzmaster style or strat style"
And then there's all the magnet choices. I'm finding conflicting opinions about the different alnico magnets.
Basically I'm just torn between p90s, my original choice, or these single coils. For the neck I want something clear and defined in the top end without being spikey and harsh, plenty of mids, and tight lows. Basically a nice balanced full sound.
I don't use the bridge pickup that often but I probably would if it were better. Not sure what I want in the bridge. Something with some character to it. A little more cut than the neck but again, not spikey or too harsh.
Also I play with lots of dirt, obviously. Low output pickups are supposed to be good with dirt right?
I'm not necessarily trying to capture the classic jazzmaster sound either.
In terms of jazzmaster pickups, the wide bridge pickup is great. I do feel like I would prefer a narrower strat style neck bridge though. I keep wanting to find some time to rewind mine narrower (or just hide an actual strat pickup under the hood ..)
Since they seem to offer that option, go for it :-)
i have some money to spend next month that i wasn't expecting. not enough for anything big, but still nice. trying to figure out if i want the nemesis, the avalanche run, the bitquest or something weird and possibly not as useful. time to start stalking the used market i guess.
also i kinda want to build a small board where every pedal has a momentary switch. been thinking about the new digitech freqout > fuck > raptio > avalanche run or something similar.
Kinda gassing for a Basic Audio Zippy. I had one previously and sold it as I don't have a lot of use for vintage-y fuzzes. A little too one-dimensional for me, but, man, I loved that one trick.
dontcha love it when you bought a drone synth or what not years ago and every so often when you pull it out to play it bewilders you like your using it for the first time and dont recall it sounding/functioning like it does at that moment...whats old is new again....just wanna rub my dick all over the floor so happy....talking bout my utopia synth...some dudes did a comparison video on this little pup and it would seem each batch or everyother is sounding different...one i heard had a chorus vibrato on the top ringmod osc....dont know if any of you have a utopia synth from skychord...but if you find one....snatch it.
I remember pestering him a couple of years ago to make one. I'm set for verbs, but I'm definitely getting it regardless since the Quadraverb was my first foray into effects and something I relied on solely for years. Interested to hear how close he got.
Edit:
It will be an instant grab if the 3 modes are ChorusStrings, Taj Mahal and Reverse. Reverb diffusion and pre-delay controls are a must too.
Someone in BST has a Fuzzhugger Sonic Shroom for $100. I kind of want it, kind of (definitely) can't rationalize another Fuzz (let alone pedal).
I'm kind of at the point with gear where I have everything I could ever want, I only plan to buy stuff if it is 1. Super intriguing AND 2. Way low price (like over $120 is out of the question now). Even then, I kind of don't want it. I am totally grateful and don't take for granted that I have the exact problem as everyone else here I.e. Not wanting anymore.
...whatever...
To give you an idea of the scale of super low price...I put in an offer for a DOD FX96 on EBay. Seller wanted $49 and free shipping, I offered $35. Seller countered $45. Nope. Cause, don't need it.
Last point, those old DODs sound so good to me.

I wish Matthew would just do a deluxe multi-unit.
He's already got the Summer, SpaceXpander, Sky-Fi....now this? 4 standalone reverbs is a bit much to me.
